PLC Programming

While a CNC system is generally preferable for most complex, precision motion requirements, PLC (Programmable Logic Control) systems can be used for some simple motion applications. PLC systems can also be used to separate low-level machine functions from high-level CNC motion functions. This facilitates handling high volume I/O communications faster and more elegantly than traditional opto-relay networks, and frees the CNC to concentrate on complex motion trajectory functions.
